The Council would like this to be made available to all of each Sections Members, whether or not they are BKKS Members, by for example copying it in the Section Newsletter or similar.

The National Show has a new Chairman, Paul (Oz) Hedley from Northumberland. The Show will be on Saturday and Sunday 23rd /24th June 2007 at the Newark Showground, and will this year be The Shingoi BKKS National Show as Shingoi have agreed to sponsor the Show. Oz is looking for help at the National from Sunday 17th June through to Monday 25th June to help with the setup and take down. The BKKS has given notice under the agreement with Koi Carp Magazine, and is currently negotiating with various magazines for a new arrangement from June 2007. From the beginning of 2007 you can elect to have a BKKS membership that does not include a magazine, this will mean you can join the Society for £15 a year. You will then receive no magazine, but a newsletter is planned for four times a year starting in mid 2007. There will also be the option to pay by Direct Debit that will make payments easier.
In 2006 we unfortunately lost two Sections, South Kent and Leicester, but gained Bristol & West plus Nottingham as Sections, and now have an application from Lincolnshire. We are always looking for new Sections, and ask all Section members to let any other Koi clubs that they may have contact with, know about the BKKS and that we are looking for new Sections.
For 2007 there are many proposed changes to the societies Show Rules, which have recently been circulated to Section Secretaries. If you would like to see these please ask. Comments are needed to be with the Society by 5th January 2007.
